Who is Mathiwos Wondu?

Mathiwos Wondu

Mathiwos , the third and youngest son of his parents Mr. Wondu Bekele and Mrs. Amsale Beyene, was born on June 17, 1999 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Until he celebrated his second birthday he was very healthy, energetic and his growth was corresponding to his age. A few days after celebrating his second birthday, heun-expectedly became very ill, and after clinical investigation he was confirmed to be ALL-type Leukemia Cancer patient.

Dr. Konjit Fekade’s Family Donate Five Thousand Birr For our Society

 

 

 

 

Family members of the late Dr. Konjit Fekade, has donated Birr 5,000.00 to Mathiwos Wondu Ye-Ethiopia Cancer Society.  According to the family members the stated amount was contributed by family members and friends originally on purpose to buy flowers on the occasion of her funeral.  But they have decided latter to spend the money on humanitarian cause.


The biography given to the society along with donation states the fact that Dr. Knojit was widely known among Ethiopians for the struggles she made to the respect of human rights and for women enjoy rights as equal as their male counterpart.


The Society wishes to her soul rest in eternal peace and Thanks all her family members & friends for their support.

The society receive donation from family members of the late Esehiwot Teklemariam (Mame)


 
 
  

Mathiows Wondu – Ye Ethiopia Cancer Society has recently received a donation of birr 6,850.00 from family members of late Esehiwot Teklemariam (Mame). The family originally raised the amount to buy flowers and use it on the occasion of her funeral.

On the occasion, the family handed over to the society the biography prepared by them about her. She had been born in Addis Ababa in1946 E.C .She had then joined Nezerate School where she had stayed until she finished high school.

Following the time she finished high school, she had left for USA and there she had joined different colleges and graduated on different disciplines. After having finished colleges, she had given service in USA for different organizations.

Since the feeling to give back to her home country had been active for long inside her, she had decided to return to Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, she had continued extending her services by working in many international organizations assuming senior position.

The Society wishes to her soul rest in eternal peace and Thanks all her family members for their support.

Annual bazaar program and donation

As usual the International Women’s Club donated Birr 5,000 to our Society during annual bazaar program held on December 3, 2009, at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.

Donation

Ambassadors and Heads of Mission Spouses Group (AHMSC) accepted our Society’s project proposal to decrease suffering of children diagnosed with cancer. Accordingly the groups finance Secretary Mrs. Suhad Belliard, French Ambassador’s wife handed over 70,000 Birr in cash to Mr.Wondu Bekele, General Manager of Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society on October 20, 2009 at the French Embassy here in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
