Fund-Raising Bingo Night
Lions Club of Addis Ababa-Cosmopolitan organized fund-raising bingo night to raise fund for children suffering of retinoblastoma and children in need of open-heart surgery,on May 18,2010. According to the organizers, 60% of the fund will be given to our society, Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society (MWECS) to support selected children suffering from retinoblastoma and the rest 40% will be given to Ethiopian Children Heart Fund to support children undergoing open-heart surgery.

The staffs at Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society thank Lions Club of Addis Ababa-Cosmopolitan for their continued support. Our achievement to improve the lives of cancer patients in general and pediatric cancer patients and their families in particular were made possible by their generous support and involvement. Taking in to account the peculiar condition we are in, we know that we can’t change all cancer related problems here in Ethiopia in a foreseeable future, but still we can change something today.
We are very happy to have them on board in the war against cancer. Cancer is not a battle that one can fight and win in isolation and we look forward to the professional, moral and material support of willing individuals and organizations like yours in order to make a difference!
